Wow, I've been gone for... almost a year? I dunno. I think pretty much everyone has forgotten who I am.

Doesn't matter. I'm still working on my MMO (massive multiplayer online) game but I've come to realize that there's more to it than just making a mission and then letting people play it and then making another mission. There are many, many other elements you have to put into it first-- security, mainly, which is not what my site is during those times I experiment with it. But also all the elements that go into a 'mission'-- a world for that mission to take place in, and the characters and monsters, and the items and rewards-- even if there are only two items, that's actually almost just as much coding work as ten, because you need a system to handle items first. So before I can have really decent missions, I need a framework. I actually do have the first mission up, it just sucks because the framework is unfinished. When the framework for the world is finished, then everything will support each other and make them more fun. Money means nothing if you can't buy stuff from shops, and so on.

So I'm going to BLABBER on about stuff nobody is going to read but me now.

I have pretty much gotten the item system to work just fine now, and the battle system too, although I need to tweak that to add items and skills which make battling more strategic than just 'I attack, I dodge, I attack, I kill it, yay level up.' and I actually have a fair bit of that addition coded already. I don't have satisfactory pictures for everything yet but I've drawn quite a few villages and creatures (I have some crappy images to hold until I get the better ones, as well, but that's purely for my benefit since nobody else will see them. I just hate Xs). I need to work on the hire system although there is a basic one already in place, of course, but one that is easily exploitable I've come to realize, to give you any kind of hire you want. One doesn't want newbies with level 500 black ninja tigers.

I will need to fix that security issue and the other one (that it is not protected while I work on it sometimes) before placing it on the actual domain name, which I have got! It might expire soon, ironically, so I'll have to get it renewed or something. So lame.

One thing I find disturbing is that google somehow got my domain listed on search. That's just creepy. How did it find it when I've done no advertising or linking? At least it doesn't have the version I'm using to code everything up first.

Well, Yruff beta 1 might be up this winter. Probably not. More likely it will be released sometime in 1010.
